Synopsis
Las Vegas’ unrivaled top gambler Alec King fell victim to a ruthless conspiracy. Betrayed by his trusted subordinate Jay and lover Victoria, he was murdered by corporate tycoon Onyx Capital, which seized his entire casino empire and handed all his assets to Jay. Reborn five years back in time, Alec becomes Ethan Cole, a destitute college student buried under tuition debts. With his mother gravely ill and his young sister left unattended, he struggles in dire poverty. Blessed with his previous life’s memories and peerless gambling skills, he crushes underground poker tournaments, reunites with loyal allies Peter and Vincent, and rebuilds his power force. He soon uncovers the shocking truth: Jay is nothing but Onyx’s puppet, his former bodyguard Tony is the real killer, and Victoria’s betrayal was forced. In secret, she has gathered solid evidence of the syndicate’s crimes. Returning to Las Vegas, Ethan challenges Jay in successive high-stakes gambles, shattering his capital chain and collecting irrefutable proof of money laundering and murder. Desperate and cornered, Jay resorts to thuggery and bribery, while the hidden mastermind M.B. controls the whole scheme from the shadows. Ethan teams up with the FBI to set a flawless trap, forcing Tony and Jay to plead guilty in court. Most Onyx senior executives are arrested and Jay is imprisoned, though the cunning M.B. flees, leaving a deadly hidden threat. After reclaiming his legendary casino empire, Ethan reforms the tainted gambling industry and aids indebted civilians. Having fulfilled his revenge, he lets go of hatred and worldly greed. Calm and powerful, he awaits the ultimate final showdown with the fugitive mastermind M.B."
