Synopsis
At twenty-two, Nora was forced to sign a surrogacy contract to save her critically ill mother. Nine months later, she gave birth to twins. Her sister, Vivian, took the healthy boy and left Nora with the frail little girl, coldly saying, “She’s too weak.” Nora was allowed to hold her daughter for only seventeen minutes before the baby was taken away. Five years later, Nora walks into the most important business negotiation of her career—and comes face-to-face with the man across the table: Ethan Blackwell, billionaire CEO and Vivian’s husband. Then Ethan sees Nora’s daughter, Lily. Her gray eyes. The tiny dimple in her chin. She looks exactly like him. Ethan begins digging into the past, while Vivian realizes the sister she thought was gone forever is still alive. Desperate to bury the truth, Vivian takes Lily first and tells the little girl, “Your mother stole you from me.” When Nora races to the kindergarten, her daughter is already gone. And Ethan is finally forced to confront the question he never knew he had to ask— Who is Lily, and what has Nora been hiding from him for five years?
