Synopsis
Mia discovers a humanoid creature that looks identical to her husband Gavin inside their home. Gavin sends her a set of survival rules: mimics can take human form, can only be killed by fire, and gain memories by devouring humans. Trapped in an inescapable space, Mia notices her father has already turned into a mimic when her parents come to visit — he craves raw meat and suffers fragmented memories. Under the pretense of offering prayers, Mia lures the fake father to the outskirts and incinerates him. On her way back home, she spots abnormalities on her mother’s fingers and finds more mimics hidden within the murals of the house. She soon realizes that the husband waiting for her is also an imposter. She attempts to fight back, only to have time manipulated by the creature. Panicked, she flees to the hospital, yet every medical staff member and patient there turns out to be mimics. At the critical moment, the real Gavin appears and freezes everything. He reveals that mimics are spreading across the globe, and authorities are covering up the phenomenon as a new virus. The two join forces to face the looming crisis.
