Synopsis
Thirty-two-year-old Alice has a middle-class marriage others envy: her husband Richard is a bank executive with money to spare. But the marriage is ice-cold — his physical condition leaves it hollow, and Alice feels trapped in a gilded cage. When Richard's younger brother Noah comes to stay for the summer, old feelings resurface: before the wedding, they were lovers. Years ago, with Alice's father gravely ill, Richard forced her into marriage by offering to cover the medical bills — and the couple was torn apart.
