Synopsis
Zhao Shanhe survives a fatal car crash and secret burial, hiding to plot revenge. His uncle Zhao Qiang covets his blind wife Lin Wan and demolition funds. Along with adoptive mother Wang Xiulan, they fake a ghost possession to force Lin Wan to bear a family heir. Lin Wan repeatedly uncovers their lies and suffers abuse. While fleeing, she is harassed by Hu Laosan, framed for adultery and nearly forced into an abortion. Zhao Shanhe secretly protects her and learns the truth: he is adopted, while Zhao Qiang is Wang Xiulan’s illegitimate son with the village chief. The trio staged the crash to steal his assets. Zhao Shanhe gets Hu Laosan to expose their scheme publicly. Police arrest the villains as they attack witnesses. Tragically, Zhao Shanhe dies from old crash wounds. Blind and alone, Lin Wan carries his unborn child.
