Synopsis
Shen Qing spent three years failing to conceive, and her in-laws never let her forget it. When they splashed filth across her red blouse — the last shred of her dignity — whatever hope she still held for her husband Pan Ming died with the stain. She signed the divorce papers, walked away with nothing, and became the village laughingstock: the barren wife, tossed aside. The whole village waited to watch her starve on the streets. Instead, Lu Yao showed up — the man everyone crossed the road to avoid, the village brute with a reputation that made grown men flinch. In front of the gawking crowd, he set three thousand yuan in cash on the table, stepped between her and the whispers, and said: "Her debts are my debts. And her? From now on, I'm the one who treats her right." But now that the dust has settled, one question lingers — the man who stood at the village gate waiting for her that first day… was he her salvation, or just another trap, laid with more patience than the last?
