Synopsis
Evelyn Hale designed the eagle-wing bag by hand and meant to announce her marriage with it. She watches it arrive on the arm of her wife's lover instead, and the woman no reporter has ever photographed decides to be seen. Overnight she strips Morgan's signing authority; on stage she reads out thirty million routed through shell companies, files for divorce and for embezzlement, and plants a forged note in her own safe as bait for the rival who bought her IT chief. The family that claims half of StarVault holds nothing: Morgan's father borrowed from the Hale trust, he never invested. Morgan loses the company, the houses and the name, and ends up carrying plates, learning that the clinic bills she paid were fake, the child she thought was hers belonged to her lover, and every dollar ran into a firm called D\&K. She turns herself in with the proof. Evelyn clears the last of the debt, changes her number, and puts the bag back in the safe with her own name where E\&M used to be.
